Play for Learning and Fun Activity
Playgroup Association of Queensland is operating a mobile supported playgroup for families in the South Cairns area.
Mobile Supported Playgroups provide opportunities for parents and children in the 0-5 age range who would not normally access a playgroup to enhance their relationship in a supportive environment, increase their skills and confidence, and to develop valuable social and family support networks.
Target groups are Families from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds, Indigenous families, Families with mental health or disability (either parents or the child), Teenage or young parent families and families who are socially isolated or disadvantaged.
We meet at Yarrabah (Malcom Park) every Tuesday 10am-12pm, White Rock school every Thursday 9am-11am and Woree Community Learning Centre at Woree High School every Friday 9.30-11.30.

BUACA now in Far North Queensland. If you feel you have what it takes to help raise the awareness of child abuse then please consider becoming an active member of our organization. We invite applications from all concerned and enthusiastic bikers. Bikers United Against Child Abuse (BUACA-Aust) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We are ready to lend support to our children by involving them with an established, united organization. We desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization and that we are prepared to lend our support to them by affiliation and our physical presence.
