Local, national, international news, features, classifieds, commentary from our columnists and access to our bloggers where you can comment on issues raised. Along with access to community notice boards, weather, polls, resources, shopping, members-only updates on new features, events, competitions, promotions and more.
By viewing the content of CCN and downloading its pages, you agree to abide by the Terms & Conditions contained in this site. In addition, certain services, including, but not limited to, our blog, classifieds, community notice boards, and others, require membership agreements, which will appear when you use those services. From time to time, we may make changes to this Agreement. If we do, we will notify you by posting the changes here. Continuing to use the service after we have posted notice of these changes means that you agree to the changes.
Username and Password
Once you become a member of CCN, we will email you a password. You will enter your username and a password very time you wish to use certain services. You must ensure that these remain confidential at all times since you are entirely responsible for all activities which occur under your username and password, including unauthorised use. You must notify CCN immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your username and password. Each username and password must be used by a single user and is not transferable. It is your responsibility to maintain your details up to date by utilising profile update. You can also change your password.
Cost
There is no cost for using the basic services of CCN. From time to time, there may be premium content or services available via subscription or surcharges, and those areas will be clearly marked. Because this is an advertising-supported service, we encourage you to support the advertisers that help to make this service possible, but we are not responsible in any way for their goods, services or policies.
Posting rules.
Do not post advertising material in our blogs/notice boards or links to material (including but not limited to text, content, photos, video, animation, graphics, audio, or software) that is libelous, harassing and disruptive, or a violation of applicable law or that would constitute grounds for civil liability. Keep your postings in a particular discussion area reasonably relevant to that topic.
Do not post disruptive, offensive, abusive, obscene, racist, harassing, sexually explicit material, chain letters, charity requests, petitions for signatures, or any solicitation of other users that is inappropriate. Post only materials for which you have obtained appropriate copyright or other permission to upload such materials and to permit downloading by other users for personal, non-commercial use. Do not violate, plagiarise or infringe on the rights of third parties, including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights. You acknowledge that any materials you upload will be considered to be in the public domain.
Suspension, Termination.
Any user whom CCN determines to have violated any element of the Member Agreement will be subject at our discretion to a temporary suspension of service pending such user's agreement in writing to refrain from any further violations; provided, however, that if we deem it necessary, the user shall be subject to immediate suspension or termination of services without further notice. Every one is encouraged to use this site responsibly and report any inappropriate use.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CCN from and against any and all liability, loss, claims, damages, costs and/or actions (including legal fees) based upon or arising out of any breach by you of your obligations under this Agreement. We reserve the right to defend any such claim, and you agree to provide us with such reasonable cooperation and information as we may request.
